The Faculty of Health and Human Sciences is committed to respecting your privacy. We recognise the need to protect and manage any personal information that you share with us. We consider personal information to be any information by which you may be identified; e.g. Name, address, telephone number.

This privacy statement is intended to explain the care with which we will treat any of your personal information

Visiting our web-site

You can visit the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences' web-sites without telling us who you are or giving us any personal information. We track the Internet addresses and the domains from which people visit us and analyse this data for trends and statistics, but the individual user remains anonymous.

Parts of the web-site allow you to enter personal information to enable us to offer you a service (e.g. send you a prospectus or respond to a query). When you give us personal information, we collect it along with your internet address and domain information. We do not pass this information to third parties. We take appropriate steps to protect the information you share with us from unauthorised access or disclosure. The only exceptions to this are if we are required to reveal the information by law, or need to protect ourselves against malicious users.

Parts of the web-site are accessible by registered users only. This requires the collection of personal information. It is our intent to inform you before we do that, and inform you of what we intend to do with the information. If you prefer not to provide the information we request, you can still visit most of our web-site, but there may be certain areas you are unable to access.

Some of our Web pages utilize "cookies" so that we can serve you with more customised information when you return to our web-site. Cookies are identifiers which a web-site can send to your browser to keep on your computer. You can usually set your browser to notify you when you are sent a cookie, and give you the option of accepting or rejecting it. At present we do not analyse the information from cookies, they are there purely to improve our service to you.
